Their were free tickets given to founding members last year that boosted attendance, but none this year. Some businesses may have bought blocks in the upper deck to reward their employees, but the fact that they felt like this was a reward and went to the game says their is demand.

I obviously don't resell my tickets, but people around me get 1.5-2.0x what they paid for them when they do.
Same here. I've been to about a dozen matches and paid every time. If you go on the supporter group pages you will also see people clamoring for tickets to buy on match day.

I think the ding here, which is a staple of criticism against MLS, is the idea that a good chunk of tickets are given away for free to pad attendance. Nothing could be further from the truth, and I wouldn't count tickets given away by a company as comps in the same sense. That just sounds like an awesome company to work for given the quality game day experience of United.

Now, even with that drop they are still probably going put them with higher average attendance most MLS, MLB, and NBA games.

This is great. I really adore the optimism.

Josef Martínez just set the MLS record for most hat tricks by a player ever ... in 1.5 seasons.

I hope they can get the Shield, but man have they have spilled points all season. So many draws where we should have got 3. If not for Martinez I dont know where we would be on the table. We are approaching the danger zone. Only 10 matches left.

This is an amazing statement to make. I would love to see Atlanta United pair up with a big European team.
