I mean I always enjoyed not having to drive to Turner Field and being able to stop at Augustine's before the game. Also, Turner Field is more an island than in a neighborhood. Parking lots do not constitute a neighborhood.

You mean we "can have Summerhill back" now that the Braves are done destroying it. Let's just see how appealing it really is to live / hangout in Cumberland in a decade or two. The redeveloped Turner field area will be a much better place than Cumberland.

I bet there will be no pedestrian activity on non-game days. The developments are spaced too far apart and most are separated from the sidewalk by massive parking lots. The low level of walking will mean most residents and visitors will drive everywhere, creating more congestion.
50 years ago, Atlanta made a mistake and built a stadium in a thriving neighborhood, now Cobb County is repeating that same mistake.

"someday I will be right"!

Give it a decade or two. LOL

The multi purpose Braves development will far, far outclass Turner Field area out of the box. Doomsayers are cute, though.

So the stadium destroyed everything around it within a mile radius to the south and west? Come on now...in what year was that area ever desirable? Cumberland is not and never will be summer hill...be real with yourself. There's a reason development is what it is around this stadium and there was literally zero around Turner Field nor the old stadium in what, 50 years? At the rates that property values are going up in that area, poverty?? Not going to happen. Even the run down apartments over on Terrill Mill have jacked their prices and most are killing off the section 8 vouchers.

The worst thing that's going to come out of this is traffic, that's about it. Face it, the area around Turner Field, and I don't just mean directly around it...is sucky.

So... explain to me where you get too far apart and separated by massive parking lots? lol... some of you are trying way too hard. Have you ever been to the Cumberland area during lunch or on a Friday or Saturday night? With Cumberland mall, which is swamped with people at the restaurants there you want us to believe that there's not going to be any pedestrian activity on the days where there are no games? With multiple huge office parks on the SAME street???? Oh...ok
