That's why the curb cut should be right-in/right-out only (if not dropped entirely) and the Ponce/Somerset intersection get a signal/crosswalks installed.

All this bickering over something that may not even be true:

Agreed about the right-turn-only entrance/exit for the curb cut on Ponce.

To be totally honest, I think concerns about CFA's plans for this store being incongruous with a broader plan of walkability for the Ponce corridor are slightly overblown. Forget for a moment that its a company as well known for their politics as for their service. They're pretty much going to use the Dugan's building footprint, complete with patio seating facing Ponce. Yeah, there's going to be extra traffic binding things up on Ponce for a little while, and a good chunk of that vehicle traffic will be commuters heading back to Dekalb. But they've also got a prime spot between the Beltline and the Clermont Hotel currently undergoing renovations, which means foot traffic along that stretch of Ponce is almost certain to increase.

Be their food is good, their service is great, and they do a lot for their communities. I don't see why people hate it so much.

The issue being raised here is not the company, but the design of the structure. I'd welcome an urban designed Walmart.
