What if, for example, they made a commitment from their own companies to play a role in transit funding? That could be a total game changer.

I doubt red line extension is going to happen. Not now that Feds and State of Georgia gave hundreds of millions to BRT in managed lanes. Let GDOT pay for majority of the infrastructure and then operate high quality BRT in the managed lanes. Works well in LA and other countries.

Not so sure about the "high-quality" part (WRT GA 400).

I am referring to in-line stations, similar to LA Metro's Silver Line, rather than buses having to exit via dedicated ramps to access P&R stations on local streets.

As long as they're not treated as the cure-all & replacement for other needed, and higher-capacity routes (see: Connect 400 HRT being replaced with express buses)

The Red Line extension is very unlikely to happen as long as the business community continues to sit back and put the entire cost of transit on the Little Man.

So, are you ever going to put this much fuss into fixing road financing as well, or is the... outrage unique to transit?

Also, there's this nifty financing mechanism that would allow companies to pitch in financing for public projects- you may have heard of it at some point -called taxes.

Keisha Lance Bottoms is my ATL transit district board representative. Which is weird.

Just another example of why ATL is pointless and will lead to nothing new. Howard Mosby is my ATL Board rep, who only got appointed to keep him politically relevant after his defeat by new candidate Becky Evans.

I wonder when the decisions with branding and all that stuff are going to be made. You think before the Gwinnett referendum?

Err...there's this nifty little funding mechanism for roads and highways, paid for by the users - called gas taxes.
