I mean, it kinda is. A lot of people feel that the MARTA branding is a part of Atlanta's culture, and in a positive way.

I was trying to be cautiously optimistic, and there is some good stuff surrounding that bill, but the more I look at it, the more I worry you're correct.

It's tasked with planning, but doesn't have funding to do so. It's tasked with getting agencies under similar branding, but doesn't have funding to do so. It's districts are supposed to represent the needs of the metro, but appears to crack & pack based on political control. It has no dedicated state funding for projects.

Yet it's supposed to control the regional transit plan that dictates what projects can and can not be funded and built.

Well, the state now has a vested interest in the transportation system:

All of those HQ relos that insisted on being on a MARTA line.

They'll could leave if they're not satisfied with the transit system.

Partly responsible for this new unified, funded plan is the local economy which exceeded everyone's expectations.

Georgia's budget, always equal to NC's, was $2.5 billion higher this year.

You know they're rolling in the dough.

Now if we could get some roads repaved with Atlanta's wadd of cash. Nothing is being improved that I can see.

Peachtree the only main road resurfaced, and that thin asphalt veneer on Ponce from a few years ago, already is deteriorating.

Either that, or they could pony up a few shekels of their own for the system that enriches them wildly.

They can't add any money to anything if the county (Cobb/Gwinnett) hasn't let their citizens vote for mass transit

Arjay wants the business community to fund the cost of expansion instead of the "Little Man" (without realizing the latter will still indirectly pay for it because businesses aren't charities and won't absorb that billion-dollar cost).

ATL logo cost taxpayers $500K
Quote:
The ATL paid Jackson-Spalding $590,000 to develop the logo and a plan for its use.
Sorry primal

The new logo won’t necessarily replace existing MARTA branding – it may be an additional logo.

I'm in the wrong line of business. For friends' and family's events and businesses, I do stuff like this in PPT and MS Word in 30 minutes. How do you even justify it?
