I saw a note this morning where Norwood got the endorsement of the police union.

When did Kasim endorse Bernie? I seem to recall Kasim supporting Hillary

Mary Norwood got the police union endorsement (they're the guys who defend cops after they shoot unarmed black people), she wants to build tunnels for new freeways, she's never mentioned a single issue relevant to the fastest-growing part of the city. Totally uninterested.

She fought against tearing down old houses and replacing them with gigantic McMansions.

Has there been a problem with APD shooting unarmed black people in recent years? I'm not saying they haven't, I just don't recall off the top of my head.

I don't have a strong opinion about Norwood, but this is kind of messed up. That's the union's job -- it's not their job to conduct investigations, make independent judgments on the guilt or innocence of their members, and then throw the "bad ones" under the bus. Their job is to advocate for their members. Same reason teachers' unions defend teachers indicted for racketeering.

Of course, because that's the biggest issue effecting Buckhead residents. Meanwhile the westside and SWAT is dealing with effects of emptying out residents.
