I work on the Northside and thankful I have access to marta. Hopefully no one was hurt but it may make a case for expanded transit.

Is there any word on the first responders? There were firefighters on scene. Lords I hope they're alright.

I'm so glad that no one was reportedly injured, but I'm so ticked off that my 285 morning and evening commute is now going to be ultra horrible every day for months. As if the dang stadium opening up tomorrow wasn't enough.

Now when there's massive delays at the game, Cobb/Braves can blame this bridge. Great...

This is the section:

Probably something in that storage area caught fire, then the heat caused the collapse above.

Wrong.

DeKalb County will be a nightmare.

When they had a gas leak near North DeKalb Mall shutting down Scott Street about 3 years ago, it gridlocked traffic for miles in every direction. Took me 2 hours to get 1 mile (I had to drive about 4 miles to get there).

Snowmaggeddon was much the same thing. I-75/I-285 intersection got clogged and it made everything worse all around.

Will they still use that as storage in the future? I heard that plastic conduit helped exacerbate the situation.

At least snowmagedon was over in a few days. This thing will take a few months.
