Yeah I think you are mistaken. Most of the artists are rock and alternative. You just don’t listen to them.

Panic at the Disco was formed in 2004 so they are 15 years old
Oh wow. I had no idea. I hadn't heard them before this decade that I am aware of.

Holy crap...I just looked up tickets. $305 for a two-day ticket??? And for maybe 10 hours of music each day? I’m going to a festival in two months which is four days, mich longer each day, more bands, and camping included for way less. Even my VIP ticket was less than double the cost of this.

Seems like a total rip off.

I can't imagine anything on earth I'd less rather do this weekend.

But that's as it should be, since I've had more fun at events like this in my past than I can count. I hope the people, young and old, who still have the energy and patience for it have a blast.

And don't forget to pee in arjay's yard.

The free market is going to do its thing when faced with Georgia's recent laws and State Supreme Court decisions. Large touring live acts are expensive, and insurance is a major cost of these events. Due to new insurance costs, safety costs, and gun-related risks, it has likely become too expensive/risky to do large festivals in Atlanta. Especially since many bands that come to Music Midtown are in high demand. This is bad news for Georgia's economy since Atlanta is seen as a major festival destination.

The cancellation is bizarre all-around.

1: Realistically, if someone wanted to shoot up Music Midtown, they would always be able to regardless of legal technicalities.

2: I'm pro-2A, but is it really not reasonable for events like this to prohibit guns? There is a very obvious difference between a permanent, unenforceable ban on generally having a gun anywhere in public and a ban on having a gun in a specific area during a specific time.
