You had to have a permit for concealed carry going back as far as I know (the 70s, if not before). Guns have never been allowed at festivals before— they usually have a metal detector you have to walk through to get in.
Most of Georgia's gun laws originated as jim crow laws intended to keep black people from being armed. Abrams supporting jim crow is no surprise.

Wait, what? Why would it be *unsurprising* for *Stacey Abrams* to support *Jim Crow laws*?

Because the democrat party is the most racist group in America.

As is being discussed here, that is incorrect. The most likely reason is a recent court ruling of an OLD law (2014) that reinforced that parks are not off limits to carry. Though another reason seems to be circulating that it has something to do with monkeypox and/or very low ticket sales.

Michigan was able to build roads and get things done when it was prosperous. It's not their fault the whole state was tied to the one singular industry that would see the biggest decline during the 2nd half of the 20th century. For all the jobs being attracted to metro Atlanta, Georgia's government operates at the level of a third world country. All the neighboring states including Alabama do a better job at coordination and planning.

It's a sarcastic snarky political comment from a delusional poster that happens to dislike Stacey Abrams. To suggest Stacy Abrams would want to support Jim Crow lows is beyond idiotic and has no basis in reality regardless of whether you support her or not.

Let's no go here with these idiotic statements. White person on forum doesn't get to decide what racism is. The democrats of old would be right-wing republicans now, we all know the southern democrats switched parties in 1964 so let's not rehash that old tired argument either.

Georgia is consistently ranked as one of the best states for roads. It’s lack of leadership that failed Michigan. Georgia has been a hot spot for decades and will continue to be so. Our leadership is some of the best in the country and it shows by our growth across many sectors. Go back to depressing Michigan, you are better suited there. Want to see third world, spend a day in Detroit.
