Good. Let them celebrate their war loser confederates and make their money elsewhere. Even pulling up in my yard with a confederate flag flying on your truck you're a bold one.

How did he get his truck started before he got in?

I also have to agree with Listener that it stretches credulity to imagine a contractor cruising around suburban Atlanta with a giant Confederate flag flying from his bumper, and that no one has raised an issue about it before. That alone would make him fairly obnoxious.

I've been around here quite a while and have never seen such a thing.

I've seen such a thing. I can't believe this thread. Imagine having this happen to you and then getting the added indignity of people questioning if it actually happened.

Has nobody here ever heard of a remote start?

If the story is true then the contractor is an idiot, and the homeowner handled things as gracefully she possibly might have. I don't doubt it could be true, I live in Milton and a homeowner flies the Confederate flag about a mile down the road from me. However, this was reported by the Daily Mail, a tabloid in the United Kingdom. I haven't seen any reporting of it in the AJC or national news, so I'm dubious.

It's on camera so isn't it reasonable to at least give the homeowners the benefit of the doubt unless evidence proves otherwise?

It is, and I am. I'm still questioning why something as egregious as this is has received no coverage in GA, or nationally.

I'm the furthest thing from surprised.

Good for her. There are certain things that you can do and believe personally, but not in a business setting. Also that is a huge traffic hazard and he will be at fault if an accident were to occur.

Furthermore, shouldn’t a flag symbolize victory and not defeat. Ignorant does mean not knowing and understanding.
