The Aiken store is now on The Fresh Market website. It says it will be on Whiskey Rd. Any idea where on Whiskey?

That's what I was thinking since there's two large empty stores there from Pier 1 and Michael's.

Since we have the golf game on lot why not build a restaurant downtown a augusta that look like a golf ball off the river to bring tourist to downtown. Then you can put some of the statutes inside the restaurant. If we going to be the home of the Master why not share it with everybody. I know a lot of people around the world love coming to Master then they will love to eat at the Master Ball.

I believe the store is opening in the the plaza with Panera Bread, etc... The construction next to Best Buy is the 6k sq. ft. 250 seat Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant....

There's no room in that shopping center for a Fresh Market is there? The entire center is pretty much the Kroger and the Home Depot, and then the bank and Fatz Cafe...

I wouldn't think Fresh Market would want to be right next door to a grocery store. They also usually take over space that's already built. There's several locations in the Target plaza for them to go.

I agree, and I was looking on Google Earth, the former Michaels space is pretty much the exact same size as the Augusta Fresh Market store...

I hope it openes either in downtown Aiken, the old Foodmax, or near Hitchkock Crossing. Considering everything closes within a year or two in the Aiken Exchange Target center, I hope it does not open there. Pier One, Sports Authority, Pier One,and Michaels all do well in Augusta but failed in that dead spot of a shopping center. It would be a shame if The Fresh Market shut down quickly as well so location is key for stores to survive and even busy roads have dead zones like this area. Even the Target barely makes it there. They have employees outnumbering customers 5 to 1 any time of the day. Columbia Square in Martinez was the same way until it was converted into an automall.
