We are in the process of buying a home and have more or less settled in on the Elm Grove development in Buda. We like the Laurel from Gehan and have decided this is where we want to build it.

Can anyone that currently resides in this neighborhood give me any insight as to the positives and negatives of living here?

We are in our early 30s and have no children, nor plans of that changing. I work from home for the time being and my wife commutes to Mopac/38th area from Onion Creek currently.

Thanks!

That'd be an hour commute on a normal day and it will only get worse with time. Is it worth living in the sticks to deal with that?

It's an hour commute from Onion Creek so yes, it's worth it to us. We were planning on Driftwood so this is closer in than we originally planned.

I didn't intend to discuss our commute, I mentioned that because One of us will always be there and the other will commute. Just giving a little background.

My wife and I are also building in Elm Grove and would like any feedback on the subdivision. Also how long did it take them to build your home?
