I don't know how true it is, but I heard on one of those morning talk shows on 590 that other cities are sending their homeless people to Austin. I wonder how often that actually happens and if that's even legal for cities to do that. Seems I remember hearing on the news the guy who killed the UT student a few weeks ago was put on a bus in Houston and sent to Austin where he lived homeless.

Don't know about cities giving tickets to the homeless to come to Austin, but when I lived up North local newspaper did a week long study on the homeless. They left themselves when the weather got cold and came back in the summer.
The article was done because people were afraid to come downtown because of the aggressive pan handing. There was shelter space but they would not take advantage of it because no drug use was allowed.

What's that got to do with the topic of the homeless? I was pointing out what a feeble attempt it was to blame the president who took office in 1981.
Pathetic human? That's just 3rd rate trollbait that belongs in the crazy political forum.

But don't you see, all these bums... uh, homeless, are just like you & me. We shouldn't whine about the physical & verbal abuse some of these unfortunate people dish out to the selfish working citizens of Austin.
Austin is so caring, so generous, I think y'all should spread the word everywhere how welcoming the city is to any & all (except those curmudgeonly conservative cynics).

It's not humanly possible to micromanage a country... that is why you put your people in key positions and let them do their job and deal with problems should they arise...

I was too young to have voted for him but have heard some of his speeches and would gladly welcome his brand of politics compared to what we have today with people at each other's throats...

He also took a bullet for our country and was NEVER the same after that...

Austin is a popular destination city... a lot of people I know that live here have California ties... seems you can't walk down a city block or go out and not run into folks with a California past.

I've actually heard people say Austin is the only place in Texas they can tolerate whatever that means and everyone knows plenty of California cities have homeless problems.

From your same link. How come only the "homeless" fit your narrative? Heck, dude, you don't even live in Austin.

Just keep refreshing the page. Dozens of other random people assaulting officers - none of them "homeless".

That's what immediately came to my mind. Plenty of people attacking other people that don't fall into Antny12's target agenda.

Uh yeah I didn't say that homeless people where the only people causing crimes around Austin, did I? I just said that Austin clearly has a homeless problem. Anybody taking a stroll through the city wouldn't have to look hard to see that. This particular thread is about this problem hence me posting the link. There are far more then what I've posted.
