Rising from the dead for some spam. I'm here for it. Trolling has not gone downhill, completely. It's like going down and up Enfiel/15th a couple times.

Default Is is already overpopulated

Is is already overpopulated

My overall opinion, Austin is awesome and I like it here but I do have to admit that I'm kind of afraid of what will happen here once this place becomes overpopulated while nothing is done to address the infrastructure.[/quote]

What part of Dallas were you living in and what time period was this, out of curiosity. I'm just shocked you've had such a different experience living here.
I too have seen these rivalries. They were there in 85 going back to the 70's and earlier? That was before my time. . Dallas (city for the rich) vs. FW (rural, less interest in making/having money) an exception being the best art museums in Texas earlier than other big Texas cities! Fer sure and like she said move to Austin for less money but happier life.

Old stereotypes. Mostly all gone, some never true, Dallas has had a diverse populous going waaay back! FW now has a gay council member! Austin is a city for the wealthy and rivals Dallas now for being "into money"! This is the Austin I hate!

As an outside observer, it seems the area is undergoing intense growing pains. Lots of people complaining about people coming from CA and all that kind of negativity. Seems the area has quite a long way to go. Lots of hype, but still not much sizzle.

The Austin metro area is basically the same size as the Las Vegas metro area at the moment. Think about that for a second lol. Yet, which place seems more welcoming to outsiders? Which one do you think will grow faster in the next 20 years? I have my bets on Vegas. Long way to go still for many areas of Texas.
