For someone to be convicted without real evidence but simply because they were cold and a bit odd is shameful. The media has a lot to answer for. As well as the NT police. No wonder Peter Falconio's girlfriend got the heck out of there as soon as she could.
i was a baby
good on them for pursuing it.
I just couldn't imagine the horror that those parents went through...

Falconio.... Not sure Id ever camp out in the middle of no where.

Found this video and it really freaked me out. I'm just a Yank who was worried about copperheads, rattlers and cottonmouths. Y'all have most of the worst. Yikes!

^ I've only ever seen what I think was an eastern brown snake.
Generally if they're left alone, you'll be right

Apparently on average 2-3 people die from snake bites a year here....

We saw King Browns, Taipans, Red Belly Blacks, Blacks and Eastern Browns all the time when we were children, a run in every couple of days was normal during the summer.

The dog we loved and grew up with as children died of a snake bite, dont think ive cried as much in my life as i did that day we had to bury him.

Anyone else watching the Olympics?
Australia's swimming team has had some mixed results, Gold in the 4 x 100 metre freestyle relay for the Women, then the highly favoured Men's relay coming 4th!
Hopefully the Port Macquarie boy, James Magnusson, can bounce back from this.
There could be some more Gold tonight with Emily Seebohm in the 100 womens metres backstroke.

Watching, but not really caring. We've been abit lacklustre so far.

Though I do feel sorry for the two equestrian riders, who had to drop out because their horses pulled up lame.

I don't mind equestrian, I tend to like the non-mainstream sports anyway. It was just a real bummer that the two Aussie riders were out, so close to the start of the Olympics.

Hopefully we will improve in other events, otherwise it could be a dismal olympics for us?
