My vote goes for new G37, or 350z.

I'm biased though, and own an 05 Z. Plenty of power, great handling, love the interior, and reliable as a sedan. You can get get an 05 now in the 20's, and put a bolt on turbo kit for an easy 400 whp.

I believe a true sportscar should be RWD, not AWD.

Anyway my 1986 Porsche might be on its' last leg but considering that it's over 20 years old and has over 150,000 miles I don't think it's done too bad. I might browse around and see what's available in the sports car market. I wouldn't mind having a new Porsche 911 but at a base price of over $70,000 I don't think it'll be in my garage anytime in the near future. I also wouldn't mind having a used one but 1999-2004 911 body styles are not my cup of tea and even a used 2005 model will set me back $60,000 or more.

I'd like something a bit newer, a bit more "loaded", and something that has some serious power. I've looked at a couple 'Vette's but even a used 2005 isn't that cheap and the 1997-2004 C5's are fairly basic in the interior.

I won't be buying anything in the near future but I always have a fun time browsing around. So what do you guys think? Any suggestions?

Also no Mustangs...

Vette is too middle-age crisis

And two-doors two-seaters only. Not GTs or sport sedans.

I don't mind AWD setups like on the Carrera 4 and the G35x where it operates in RWD mode 95% of the time and the front wheels only intervene when needed.

Default Mazda MX5 SPEED!

My vote goes to my 2004 Mazda MX5 Speed.RWD,2 SEATER,TURBO.It's truly a sports car and set up that way from the factory.Although the 2006 went to a bigger HP engine(170) the turbo response is so much quicker than the non-turbo.I don't know why they didn't make a new version "speed"I guess that just makes mine more of a collectors model(#51 out of 4000 made).
