I remember this as well as I got a '83 Accord that came right off the truck. I don't THINK I paid any dealer mark up. Was happy to buy it as I was also looking at the Cadillac Cimarron and very glad I didn't buy it!

this is common on a brand new car (like a first year production) that is highly desirable like a Ferrari or a Corvette, but on a economy car hell no

when the Porsche 911R came out the MSRP was around 185k and dealers/others were trying to flip it for 700k+
