1975 Triumph TR6 (will be used in the summer, just finished renovation).
1972 Citroen DS 23 'Pallas' (used twice a week).
1971 Mini Cooper S (used twice a week).

These 3 have been bought in the last year and intend to keep them for at least another few years as they're practical and useable classics.
I've just gone back over this thread and have just seen my predictions, a fortune teller i'm not. This is how it'd look now:

2007 Bentley Arnage 'T' Mulliner Lvl 2 ~ My wifes car, she's had it for about an hour and she'll probably keep it for... a few years? (will be used most days).
2003 Land Rover Defender 90 ~ Had it for 3 years, may change it for a 110 at some point but probably keep it until it dies. (used most days).
1995 Aston Martin Vantage ~ Owned for 4 years and intend to keep it forever. (used 3/4 times a week).
1972 Rover 3500 S ~ Owned for 6 months but has been finished for about a month. It's a 'slight' modernisation. I intend to keep it indefinitely. (my daily drive).

This one have been bought in the last year and I intend to keep it for at least another few years as it's a practical and useable classic (and my wife loves it).

2013 f250 Lariat. Will keep a minimum of 3-4 years as thats how long I plan on having my 5th wheel toy hauler. Its a great truck and I'm hoping even after selling the toy hauler and not having a definitive need for the truck I still like the it enough to keep it. Once I get rid of the toy hauler I'll be able to do the 4.5" lift and 37s I want, and hopefully that will give me incentive to keep it and enjoy it again. Around that time hopefully I can get a project car or sports car to fix the lost feeling from the yamaha r1 and mustang I had in the past.

Also, when I'm past my 100k mile warranty I'll be able to do all the engine mods/tuners I want which will give me more incentive.

Well, not quite. She made it to 165k, but needs too many repairs and is now not roadworthy.I am waiting for Make a Wish to pick her up.

I did replace it with an '07 Accord, though. So that part of my prediction was right, lol.

My stable consists of:

1999 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 w/ 6 speed, 275K miles, currently my daily driver. Bought it in 2001 w/ 19K miles. I'd like to drive it for another 10 years. LS1 w/ 6 speed getting 26.5 mpg. I love this car!
2001 Chevrolet Suburban, 225K miles, bought in 2003. Exterior and interior still look great, was the family hauler when we took the three boys and half a house of crap on every trip. It's way too big now, but I do like to drive it.
1992 Dodge Ram 150 pickup, 75K miles. My dad reached the point where he can no longer drive, and he passed this onto me.
1969 Chevrolet Camaro convertible, lots of miles. bought this in 1989, daily drove it for a few years.
1952 Chevrolet 5 window pickup, currently not running and sitting in the garage. project car.
2007 Honda Civic SI, 100K miles, oldest son drove this thru college. he graduated and is working, so I'll title it to him soon.
2010 Honda CRV, 65K miles, my wife's daily driver
2011 Honda Civic, 30K miles. Middle son has this at college. He bicycles everywhere, so this should last forever.

I intend to keep the Camaros, the '52 pickup and my dad's Dodge truck forever. Probably the Suburban also ... it does everything. Like some of the other posters, everything that I buy for myself from now on will be a lifetime car. At some point, I'd like to have an early 90's Porsche and maybe a 5th gen Camaro. Then I'm done.

Take her in for tune ups and change the oil. Also watch the under carriage for potential problems.Check your tie-rods and axles for problems. That's one of the issues that killed my car. With a Camry, you shouldn't have too many problems.Preventative maintenance is key. I wish you luck with your car.

How Many Years Are You Plan on Keeping Your Car??-dscn4098.jpg

For summers I drive Mom's old 1986 560SEL. When she finally let Dad buy a new car to replace it in 2007, he had new tires and brakes all the way around, new belts and all fluids replaced and they drove it up here from Miami and handed me the keys. It was great because when theu would come up for Thanksgiving to stay at their favorite B&B they had their car to drive back and forth to our place.
It has 190K on it but the drivetrain has been replaced.

DH has a 2004 Sierra 1500 single cab long bed with 107K. Hay and feed hauler, only gets driven twice a month now.

My 2005 Sierra 1500 extra cab has 667K on it.

I wanted to keep them forever but can't find a body shop to repair the rust. They want to replace the rocker panels for three grand. I'll take it to my old painter one day who knows how to fix things, not write fat guesstimates.
