As much as I love a V8 engine, I wouldn't say they are better than everything out there. Some V6 out there in high end sports cars will give many V8 the run for their money, like the Porsche 911 cars and the Nissan GTR.
12 cylinders are superior for balance and smooth running over a V8 engine.
But all in all, I don't really think one engine configuration is somehow better than another...four, six, eight, twelve, sixteen are all fine and dandy in a car...four, five, seven, nine, twelve, eighteen, twenty seven, or thirty six sound great for an airplane...

This.
The kings of aftermarket performance right now do not have V8's. The V10 Lamborghini Gallardo and V6 Nissan GTR are kicking ass and taking names of most of the V8 powered cars out there. The only exception is the V8 in the Ford GT, which I think still holds the record at the Texas Mile.

The king of aftermarket performance is the small block Chevrolet selling more parts than any other model. I'm sure the Lambo aftermarket consists of a shift knob selling every other week. While the cars you quote are great cars their costs limits widespread appeal.

Good job on completely misunderstanding my post, while interjecting your own nonsense. What's new.

You said it, so if you can't get it right don't say it. No nonsense, only fact that the sbc is number 1 in aftermarket. You scream high end foreign all the time, but very few can afford. The thread is about v8 with a drag racing flair, and you inject road cars? Hello,

I'll try to dumb my posts down on occasion so you can understand them. I don't feel like it in this thread though, so you'll have to try harder to comprehend this stuff.

You already did, but if you need to make yourself feel superior due to lack of self esteem feel free. Why have you not clarified your aftermarket misstatement? I'm sure those aftermarket parts, and support are huge sellers?
Maybe you could tell us about those evil unions again, but how great the union made BMW is from a socialist country? Comprehension come full circle yet.
