Even the most rabid car enthusiast will embrace driverless cars when he becomes too old to drive and the alternative is being stuck in his house in his auto-oriented suburb.
I do not know anywhere one does not have to take the test to get a driver's license.
Even those who take Driving School have to test to get an actual driver's license.
Well it could just be idiots who said that on the Internet.
No employer is going to cater to you. Colleges don't give out A's because you showed up. You don't become successful by going for easy way out or doing what every else is doing.
You're 18 and scared of driving? Your generation is much different than mine. Kids today are putting off getting a drivers license for as long as they can while everyone I knew couldn't wait for the freedom and fun of driving. It was a rite of passage.
You should practice driving more and you'll most likely get better.
This is mostly due to the dire job prospects of young people. Cars are expensive. The younger generations are leaving their parents suburbs for the cities where the job and culture are. These places usually have public transit and walk ability so cars are not as needed.
I'm not. I just don't like being told I need to do things the way other people do.
But isn't that just what you are telling us? That we need to get a driverless car because YOU think it's what we should do? Seems like hypocrisy to me. You have issues with people not wanting driverless cars, and with people wanting to live in rural areas, so why do you care? What's your stake in how others choose to live their lives?
We could make texting while driving mandatory! Voila!....Driver-less cars!!
