As for a car a C2 Stingray body built on to a C6 ZR-1 Chassis classic looks with modern performance with the ability to be a daily driver or go on long cruises without worrying about putting mileage on a number matching classic or having to deal with issues other then gassing it up on the road trip
I would build it in a similar style to this green '68. A nice, low, corner carving stance with some big by wide wheels and tires stuffed under it. I would want a modern 6.1L or 6.4L HEMI under the hood with a comfortable interior for some long-distance cruising.
Mine would be candy blue with black bumblebee stripes around the tail (or even the reverse, blue with black stripes).
Ah, there are so many...
At the top of the list would be a 1954 Kaiser Manhattan or Darrin.
A Kaiser "Villager" (I think that is what it was called) would be nice, too. That one had the hatch back.
A 1969 dodge Coronet R/T like the one I bought in 1970, with the 440 Magnum.
A Glen Pray Cord 8/10 would be wonderful!
a Deuce Coupe or roadster with '53 Merc 3/4 race flathead, '39 Ford gearbox with Lincoln Zephyr gears, and Columbia 2 speed rear axle would be more fun than a basket of kittens!
and so many others...
My dream car seems to change often, sometimes on a weekly basis. This week it's a 1999 30th Anniversary Trans Am convertible. Last week I was checking out first gen Vipers and before that the Jaguar XK convertible. Of course owning a Ferrari of any type would be cool.
1957 Chevrolet Bel Air sport coupe or sport sedan. I know it sounds cliche' but that's a gorgeous car. I'd prefer the hardtop on that one. My dream convertible would be a 1959 Cadillac Eldorado.
