7 seats is an option on certain modules not all Sorento' shave 7 seats. I have a 2016 LX only a 5 seater.

A guy at work has one. It's a 7 seat option. The seats are worthless back there. He said it was a option not a standard feature

I looked at one, because I needed the third row seating for times when family visits. After seeing how tight it was in the back, I bought a Saturn Outlook.

The Sorento third seat is an option and not available on all trims. It is only suitable for children or very tiny adults.

Okay - I went to the configurator and it listed 3rd seat for even the base model.

The older ones were 5-seaters. The new are with 7 seats. Here you can see which generation has 5/7 seats - Kia Sorento.
