I drive a 2008 Hyundai Tucson.

I just assume that everyone on the road is jealous of me for my great ride, so yeah, I do feel a little bit guilty about that. I mean, come on, it's an 11-YEAR-OLD HYUNDAI TUCSON, for gosh sake!

Seriously, OP?

When I'm driving around, and I see a really hot, sexy car in front of me, I dare not verbalize it to my car so as not to hurt its feelings!

I don't think my 1985 Toyota Supra is not very happy with our move to Tucson (from Las Vegas a year ago) and I being retired now. It was used to driving the freeways to work 3 nights a week, and now that I'm not working, and being in a dream location where I can bicycle to 2 grocery stores, it doesn't get much exercise, and you must know the bumpy, pothole roads of Tucson are the worst in the country.

I worry about ever selling this car, or trading it in, as my Supra would probably put a jinx on the new car, and on the first drive, 2 wheels would fall off or on a rainy day, the windshield wipers wouldn't work!

Automobiles are substitutes for the horses we used to ride, horsepower, which is why I think so many have a tendency to humanize their cars.

My brother has had his own automobile repair shop for many years, and getting so frustrated working on them, he abuses cars that leave me all but shedding tears for them. It's his way of venting his anger!

I don't talk to my car, I don't promise it anything. My car does not make me feel guilty about anything, or I don't feel guilty to have a nice car at all. I work hard for what I want to have.

OP, you are funny, but believe it or not, whatever you do, whatever you are, you're not alone.

1 - You can buy a muffler for a car.
2 - You can easily trade one car in for another.
3 - Your primary car doesn't mind if you have a backup.
4 - Your car won't leave you if you are out of gas.
5 - A car doesn't take up a lot of your closet space.
6 - Cars function normally every day of the month.
7 - A car won't ask you "Do these tires make me look fat?"
8 - A car doesn't mind if you go to sleep right after driving it.
LOL. Very good post.

OP, what's with the rude rep comment? I didn't call YOUR car ugly (actually I have no idea what a Supra looks like) ...

Just weird, since I thought this thread (including my post making fun of my OWN car, and your posts) was pretty lighthearted until then.

Last night we put the top down and drove to the beach to watch the sunset. That is happy motoring.
