I asked this question a year ago:

https://www.city-data.com/forum/auto...pt-bailed.html

And the year before that:

https://www.city-data.com/forum/auto...-bankrupt.html

What's changed in the last year?

Well, big boost in valuations to the major electric vehicle producers, 10x in valuations to Tesla, Nio, etc... even little players getting bubbly valuations.

Also, big merger between FCA and Peugeot into Stellantis. Does that count as a buy out of FCA? Not sure.

Who's next?

Stellantis Is now the forth biggest automaker in the world, so i don’t think they will go BK . Stellantis UAW workers will get $8,010 profit-sharing checks now does that look like a company that’s having money problems lol lol.

The Chrysler brand name and the Dodge brand name are just limping along.

Note that the Dodge trucks dumped the Dodge name and became RAM.

Worldwide there is to much car production capacity.

Agreed, Fiat, Chrysler and Dodge aren't doing much for US sales - I think all have had declining volumes in the US for the past few years at least. Plymouth was already killed off years back. I think Jeep and Ram are doing pretty well here though.

Jeep is really popular where I live. They are all over the highway! Renegades, Wranglers, Grand Cherokees in full force!
