'Everyperson price' (not tied to any 'cents off' price/reward....other than FF miles on my CC (paid off each month) like any other purchase (my cc = same number of miles for purhases/intensity of reward not stratified/not different re type of actual purdhase).

Walmart at Fry Rd & West Little York (Walmart = same price for cash and credit) in the Houston metro.

Bound to happen. In 2008, I couldn't find a compact or subcompact to buy when gas was ~$4.

People have short memories. Gas will be $4-$5/gal again in the future. And it will go back down.

Gas is still above $5 with most about $5.599 where I am in CA - diesel is over $6/gal. NV is a little lower but still close to $5/gal.

Here in the Puget Sound area we still have a few places at or just above $5, but I paid $4.49 at Costco on Wednesday. Now today it's back up to $4.75, and others are as high as $5.50 again, probably to take advantage of the holiday weekend travelers.

I've noticed the diesel price only a few times lately, but if my memory serves me correctly, there's a bigger gap here percentage wise between diesel and gas than you're experiencing out there.

There's a station that I drive by often (never get gas there...others in the area are slightly cheaper) that went down between Wednesday and Friday. It will be interesting to see where the price goes at that station over the next few days.

When most of the USA was paying $2.50/gallon back in the day, our area of Northwest Washington state (and probably many other places) was always paying at least a dollar more than everyone else. I mean for decades, not just now.

So these prices that everyone is screaming about are the prices we were always paying. Now, of course we're paying more than that.

People who live in a state where gasoline is cheaper, be thankful.

We are stuck on $3.99 at Walmart and Costco being the best priced for a month. No signs of going down. Auburn WA

We’re at $3.50 range for 87 in Twin Cities. Diesel is in the $4.80-$5 range.
