I wouldn't buy one because I don't care for a Corvette.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

DETROIT, March 21 (UPI) -- General Motors is suing a small Ohio company for building replica versions of its iconic Corvette sports car, court documents show.

Mongoose Motorsports of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, specializes in replicas of the 1963 Corvette Grand Sport, the rarest Corvette model. Only five originals were built, and they sell for millions when they come up for auction, The Detroit News reported Sunday.

Corvettes are awesome. However, I am not usually impressed with replicas on any make of car.

Well I don't blame them if they didn't give that company permission.

did the same thing not happen with that company that was making fake 1967 shelby GT 500's out of regular 1967 mustangs fastbacks

Carol Shelby also tried to sue SuperFormance (out of South Africa) for their replica of the Shelby. Never did come to pass. LOL...in fact, our glove box was signed by him.....He supposedly didn't like the cars, yet showed up at shows and did autographs. (Crotchiest old man you ever want to meet!)

Color me surprised GM is going after someone counterfeiting their most iconic brand.

You would think that after almost 50 years, the design would be in the public domain...

I wish they would make a 1963 -67 stingray with a LS7 which at 7.0 liters makes 427 CID and a 6-speed throw in a C6 Z06 suspension and brakes and sell it for 55-60K and it would be a huge seller
