That is your opinion. Not sure how many people have to say this. Stop being selfish and respect other people's health choices.

Tell me you never set foot on a plane on a US domestic route in 2021 without saying you didn’t sweat foot on a plane that year.

I recently wore masks on a plane from ATL to Paris and from Rome to ATL. But I would not dream of asking people to wear one if it was not mandated.

I also felt that masks on these long flights were useless even it was mandated. They serve meals twice during the flight and each time they serve drinks, followed b the same meal and finally another drink / coffee. Pretty much people take off the mask for 1 hour during each set of activity. So if you lost 2 out of 8 hrs without a mask I am not sure if wearing it for another 6 hours will be helpful.

I am not concerned about Covid. I think I get less other upper resp infections while wearing a simple surgical mask. If others want to wear one, go ahead. If not, that too is fine.

IMO, the mask mandate should never have been lifted on airliners and public transport. Masking does a lot of good.....when people wear masks.
Science... so 2020

I’m trying to figure out how you can drag out an airline economy meal for an hour. The second Egg McMuffin/hot pocket-like meal on my recent transatlantic flight was maybe 10 minutes tops to consume and the first meal wasn’t that much more time to eat.

You must be a fast eater who doesn't chew their food properly because most individuals take longer than 10 minutes to eat even an airline meal. That said, a virus only needs what, seconds to transmit from one individual to another so 10 minutes, 30 minutes or 1 hour there is still exposure.

We’re talking a hot pocket with a small container of pudding. By the five minute or so mark, the hot pocket approaches room temperature, and whatever marginal edibility it originally had degrades as the cheese in it congeals.

The pudding is also best consumed while it still has a bit of a chill and while it’s a little more durable than the hot pocket, the clock is ticking once it’s out of the ‘cool’ side of the FA’s cart.

It's not like you have to eat on a flight.
I commuted via 12-18 hr flights for 30 yrs and I seldom ate after airplane food took the dive (~1990). Unless you have a medical condition, you can go without food for 2-3 days pretty easily. Hydration is necessary on flights. Water is the best choice. Wear a hydration bladder, use a tube under your mask.

Happy trails
