The CDC begs to differ and finds an 83% reduction in getting a positive covid test when you wear a N95 mask.

No way. I think here, it will be a while longer than March 18. The local government has not hinted when the coronavirus will end. The vaccines must work. If the vaccines don't work, we may be in this pandemic a little while longer. The only vaccines they have yet is the ones they came out with first in America. Other countries have their own vaccines.

If there's anything I've learned through this whole bumbled situation it's to not be too sure of anything. Figure out what's best for you and take care of your own self.

I knew that already from working in the health arena but it is definitely written in stone now.

Science?
Listening to CDC?

What part of science is missing? (CDC in NOT science, as proven over and over (and over))
Be very careful who you listen to (and their agenda).

CDC 'misinformation' has been deemed responsible for up to 1/2 the covid deaths in USA. That's a lot. (USA doesn't need a war to kill its own)

Be smart! (that's not tough)

Expect the Airline / Public transit to continue mask requirement indefinitely. Or... the CDC can change its mind (again) in 5 minutes. Depending on what the desired narrative is.

Last night's flight concluded with a bully passenger yelling, threatening and punching an old man, because the body builder didn't get the seat he wanted. This happened AFTER deplaning, so at least it didn't disrupt the flight or crew.

There are plenty of 'tinder dry' wackos out there.

Consider driving (road rage)

I don't give a flying you know what what the CDC has to say. Covid is irrelevant to me especially now that Othe Ohmygosh variant is the dominant strain. As for the immune compromised, they have had the tools to be able to protect their own health for going on a year now.

600% of effectively 0% of serious illness is still...wait for it....effectively 0%.

I honestly would prefer masks be worn on the plane and would love it if this was made to be a permanent change. It's not any inconvenience at all and seems like a logical thing to do. Quarters are way too cramped and I don't know who has what. I prefer to do as much as I can to keep your germs away from me.

Germs are a fact of life. I suggest a hazmat suit.

I certainly think that is overkill, and quite absurd. LOL. No thanks. A mask is so so simple.

Time for the safety theater to go.
You can eat and drink all you want maskless, and that's "safe"?
It's all good for people to hang out at airport bars/restaurants before or in between flights maskless?
If you are truly worried, you probably should not be going out in public.

Covid is most easily spread by aerosols through respiratory tract.

Few, if any cases are spread by ingestion (There are a lot of nasty chemicals on that route).

15+ minutes exposure is usually necessary.

If hanging around indoors in tight spaces for more than 15 min. Use precautions and courtesy to others.

Or... stay home

I do most my travel via backroad motorcycle, that is fairly covid safe.

Just don't let anyone exhale / breath on your motorcycle.

Mine are all vintage, so no one is interested

Airplanes... what a bunch of crybabies. Especially in the southern USA states. Huge difference in clientele traveling the left coast and SW USA vs. the SE USA via commercial air.

A 10 point quiz for HC might suffice! Can't pass, you don't go.
We should do similar for voting.

(Covid testing at the gate would be another alternative, as a few countries (airlines) have done for 20 months)
