Hello, I just recently moved to Baltimore from Kentucky. I currently work in the Edison highway area. I see a few communities nearby and may start jogging after work in the area. There is Ellwood Park and some nearby streets are E. Biddle, E.Chase, Milton Avenue. Is anyone here familiar with the area?

You can jog anywhere in Baltimore on an early Sunday Morning between 7am and 11am....that being said.. Have you driven the area that you described around the time when you plan to jog? Do you see other joggers in the area? I dont know your comfort level with "city living" but I would start there......

I'm new to city living, seems like a peaceful area.

Hmmm. I would not say that.

Ellwood Park is a (statistically at least) pretty bad area. Your best jog would be to head straight south and get to Patterson Park as fast as possible, Which is only half a mile away.

Be advised that Baltimore is a strange city in a sense that bad areas are not all packed together but rather spread in the city in the middle of better areas.

I personally run in Johns Hopkins Hospital area, Upper Fells Point, Fells Point, Butchers Hill, Canton and Patterson Park without any problem. However, being a female could also change your perspective on that. I would not want my wife to run alone at night, for example, even in those areas. But that's just me.

Thanks, I'll check it out more in detail. The Oliver area is nearby and looks quiet, I'll try that community for late night runs.

Oliver is still pretty rough, but it has made tons of improvement in the last two years.
