I was just watching this. The Baltimore Key Bridge has Collapsed after a container ship hit it. Watching the video it doesn't look like there were many vehicles on the bridge at the time of the collapse, but some vehicles are reported to be unaccounted for. I think they were probably lucky. The video just before the collapse showed pretty heavy truck traffic on the bridge. But I didn't see any at the moment the bridge collapsed.

I would imagine this is going to cause some major traffic problems in Baltimore.

Livestream. You should be able to back the video up to the time the bridge collapsed.

It's pretty crazy. I just can't get over how the traffic was pretty heavy before the collapse. But I couldn't see anything moving on the bridge at the moment it collapsed.

I expect this will cause some traffic nightmares for you people in the Baltimore area.

Horrible. Could have been much worse if it happened a few hours later during morning rush hour.

That is a major thing. A very important bridge.

Very sad for the people that lost their lives because of the incompetence of a pilot/captain.

7 people unaccounted for and an unknown number of vehicles, ship lost power. A major East Coast port is now shutdown.

Or even a few minutes earlier. The last of the traffic cleared the bridge about 45 seconds before the collapse. Unfortunately there were a bunch of construction vehicles parked on the bridge at the time. Only 2 of those workers survived and one is critical.

So glad I telework right now, as it's rush hour now, and traffic all around the Baltimore Beltway is going to be snarled worse than ever. Hazmat trucks can't go on the I95 or I895 tunnels under the harbor so ALL traffic around that side of the beltway will be diverted to go all the way around the other side.

And that port is VERY busy and will basically be shut down until they can remove the bridge from the water. HUGE logistics issue for this major shipping port.

I can't imagine the fear that would have hit anyone on that bridge at the time when it fell like that. So many people are scared of bridges like that and this will just reinforce that.
