Bullpen has a new member, Martin Maldonado. It was kind of fun to see him pitch the final inning yesterday with his 40 something mph pitches

And as happens so often with Houston pitching, lots of damage after two outs tonight. They just have a horrible time getting that third out. Maybe they should have brought in Maldonado to pitch the ninth instead of Pressly.

I fell asleep after my previous post. I'm glad I didn't hear it as it happened.

At least Texas lost...and by 10 runs.

White Sox closed within one of the Mariners with a HR, Then, with a triple after that, a single could have tied it up, but the Mariners got a ground out. Mariners scored a run in the following inning and now lead 7-5.

If the Mariners win......who would have thought at the beginning of the season that all three teams would be tied in wins at this point....especially with the Astros bringing up the rear with two more losses than the Mariners and Rangers.

ETA: Ugh. Fermin strikes out for KC with the bases loaded in the top of the 9th, and the Mariners win.

Framber Valdez almost did it again last night. Another no-no, but this time, he would leave after seven innings.

Astros bullpen continues to have difficulty getting the third out in an inning; in last night's case, the ninth. Thanks a lot, Ryan Pressly. Astros lose that one last night, 4-1, with Houston getting just one hit.

Now, on to Saturday (26th) night's game. Houston is off to a good start and a better middle, as it's now 4-2, Astros, in the bottom of the 5th.

All 3 teams won on Saturday.

On Sunday.....Love it....off the charts offense + good pitching.....Verlander 5 innings, no runs, 7Ks for the 17-4 win.

Texas loses, Toronto loses, Boston loses, Baltimore loses.

The only way it could have been better on Sunday would have been if Seattle had lost.

Nah......I started listening in the 3rd IIRC. I've been doing a split screen on ESPN.com (play by play) ever since.

Unfortunately, the Mets, in the top of the 9th, gave up their 3-2 lead over the Rangers and the Rangers won.

But, despite Javier's struggles, the Astros are killing it again........Altuve becomes the first Astros player to hit for the cycle in 10 years, and the Astros lead 13-4 at the end of the 8th.

Mariners are leading the A's 1-0 in the third.

ETA: Astros just won 13-5, and Seattle now leads the A's 3-0.

Only the 6th visiting player ever (111 years) and the 2nd in the last 45 years to do so at Fenway.

It was only a matter of time before Altuve would do something like that. I just hoped he would, and he finally has!

A third straight day of all 3 teams winning ?......The Rangers just beat the Mets 2-1, the Astros lead the Red Sox 6-2 in the 8th, and the Seattle/Oakland game is just starting.

7 of the last 10 games of the regular season for the Rangers and the Mariners are against each other.

ETA: Astros just won 6-2, and Oakland leads Seattle 3-0 in the 2nd.
