Why Jimmer Fredette has been such a big bust in the NBA (finals, legends)

My main sources of info are the Knicks post-game shows and the locker room interviews when our games finish up on MSG network.
That said, he didn't appear much on those. Almost like he didn't exist. Or wasn't taken seriously.
Yeah, for whatever reason they wont give him a shot, even on a losing team. There is no reason on that Knicks team to give him a bit of a shot. My guess is that Rambis didnt want to do it in the first place.
Didn't Rambis make a comment recently that his defense still wasn't very good? Of course, one of the Knicks biggest problems is point guard, so maybe Rambis just wasn't interested...
The 27-year-old Fredette, whose love of the 3-pointer and aversion to defense always made him seem more useful in video games than real games, is putting up video-game numbers. He’s averaging 37.3 points a game, the best in the league. (Next up? Former Providence star and Nets flameout MarShon Brooks.) Fredette is shooting 49 percent from the floor, 41 percent from 3 and an unreal 93 percent from the free-throw line — well ahead of the all-time NBA free-throw mark, which volleys between Steve Nash and Stephen Curry at just over 90 percent. The 6-foot-2 guard is also chipping in 8.4 rebounds and 4.7 assists for the Shanghai Sharks, who are in first place at 24-4.
The fans have swooned over Fredette, whom they have nicknamed “Lonely God” and “Loneliness Master,” according to his wife, Whitney. Loneliness is an honorable trait in China, Whitney says — it shows you’re “invincible.”
The upstate New York native, who quickly stepped in and out of a Knicks jersey in last season’s disgrace, took over the Chinese All-Star competition last week. First, Fredette took home the 3-point crown, sinking his last seven shots:
I think the NY Post published this story as a jab at the Knicks. You dont think he could be a spark off the bench!? Almost 22/game in the D league last year too. Knicks suck!
Ehhh playing in china is like playing a mix of high school and college level talent.
Dejuan Blair is garbage but he averages 24-14 in China. Just signed with Texas legends d-league team.

Point is he is a top tier shooter, and nobody can get him to come of the bench and score 10-15 a game with a regular contribution?
The article closes, and it may be interesting to see if anyone takes that chance after the Chinese season ends pre-playoffs.
When you can't get more than 3 mpg for the pelicans at 26 years old in the early middle of your prime, maybe playing in China is all you're worth.
Some people just can't handle the level of expectations the NBA brings. In china, much like in college, he's surely got a ton of people kissing his tail. He's not going to get that in the NBA, maybe that's the key.

He did great in the NCAA, D-league, China and had some great performances in the NBA, so we will see. He also is having a great time Im sure as the league leader and made $1million this year in China. If the NBA doesn't work out so be it, he can stick there for a few years and make a mint playing for Yao Ming.

Great shooting is nice and all, but when you don't have the athleticism or handles to get shots off...kinda makes scoring tough.
