Happy that Barkley will have to eat his words (worth noting... generally speaking I really like Charles Barkley and think he's hilarious most of the time)... but I definitely don't think it's fair to call Gonzaga a DII team. They fought hard to have a remarkable season and, just like Carolina, had to deal with the obnoxious refs that destroyed the pace of the title game.
Happy for my Tar Heels and Roy Williams joining the 3 title club. Tremendous respect for Gonzaga. Best title matchup in years....unfortunately it came paired with the worst officiating in years

Yep.....one of the many, many examples of crap officiating last night.
Another was only shortly before this when they claimed Theo touched Gonzaga's airball 3 when there was a good inch between the ball and his fingers as seen instantly in the replay and called out by the broadcasters. That should have been UNC ball...Zaga ended up scoring a 3 on that play.
Or midway through the 2nd half when Karnowski closelined Berry on a clean steal (for which he admitted and even apologized to Berry right after) and still got the flagrant call. Sure Berry got one too and that was their way of making it "even"......but no doubt Zags got the better end of the deal on that one too.
Call it even? Or continue to be butthurt that the Tar Heels are National Champions and Duke got eliminated in the 2nd round?
