Brogdon has the offensive edge over Smart, but Brogdon has usually sat out a large number of games over the last couple of seasons. He gets injured and can't play. Celts have said he would be the 6th man, last I heard. That will reduce his minutes and hopefully keep him healthier longer.
Seems like $20 million a year is a high price tag for a guy coming off the bench. I don’t think you can play them together for long because that would give Boston a small lineup forcing Tatum to play the 4 spot. Not the greatest idea when you have Giannis and others at that position. Still I liked Brogdon and think he’s a fine player who’s going to do well in Beantown. I personally wished the Bucks kept him instead of Bledsoe, one of the dumbest acquisitions of all time imo.

Yup, got caught banging some chick in the org...as a married man (to Nia Long! brothas of a certain age know). SMH. Come on dude. I dont see how he comes back to coach for Boston again. Too much bad PR at this point. I suspect a buyout is coming. Amazing how he effed up. He had a really good thing going in Beantown. A young talented squad that could compete for titles for at least the next 5 years at least. Backed up by ownership and GM that were ready to do what it took to stay competitive. Damn Udoka.

First, they get even better by adding Brogdon & didn't have to give up much at all. But they also run the risk of upsetting Smart by taking away his minutes. Then they likely upset Jaylen Brown, who already felt under appreciated by the team, by trying to trade him to the Nets.
Then they lose Gallinari for the season due to an ACL tear. Robert Williams has a somewhat complicated knee surgery where they initially said he'd be out 4-6 weeks, but now updated it to 8-12 weeks. Their coach is out for the season due to consensual sex but Matt Barnes completely did a 180 degree turn when he heard more of the details, which the Celtics are trying to keep hush hush.
