You are wasting a #1 draft pick who could be your franchise player for years to come on some sort of side show you want to do with Lebron. Looking at the mock drafts before the incident and he was borderline lottery pick to late first round. And that is assuming he had a big season at USC.

Lakers have a 1st round pick next year. Perhaps if its known that Lebron does not want to play anyone but on the Lakers next year they can draft him. Without the Lebron angle there is no point in drafting Bronny 1st or really anywhere in the draft. Personally as a Laker fan I hope Lebron goes somewhere else. They will have to overpay to keep him and Bronny not going to be worth wasting a pick on anywhere in the draft. Lebron brought the Lakers a ring and perhaps they make a good run next year. That is fine. He can farewell elsewhere. Not that he is for sure retiring after 2 more seasons.

I think if Lebron will go anywhere or perhaps a few select teams where he wants to play a team might take Bronny in the 2nd round. The pick is not that valuable to begin with. The odds of getting a all star in the 2nd round is pretty low.

Perhaps Bronny should quit the team, try to get his health back and go the G league route. Adding going to school onto his plate seems a bit much now.
Bronny is already a millionaire and his dad a billionaire. He can just protect his life and not play, and be set for life. Vince dont have that option. If bronny chooses to not play, it sucks for lebron and the basketball world, but its better than dying and regret playing.

Yes but not all #1 picks became all stars, and many #1 picks, you have to overpay to keep them when time comes, and after years passed, the team dont win a ring. If you take bronny at #1, its garunteed making hundreds of millions. You can use than money and overpay a ton of players and win a championship. Season tickets, even if its 10x the price, will still get sold out due to father and son in the nba, plus lebrons final year. And dont forget theres 2 james jerseys, so people buy both.

I am a big Lebron but him playing with his son who might not even deserve a roster spot on the bench does not seem very interesting. Yes its historic but only if Bronny really deserves to be in the NBA. Otherwise its a gimmick. So Bronny goes on the court game one of the season for the first 5 minutes of the game then retires?

And we don't know when Lebron will retire. He has hinted at playing until he is 45. Certainly without a major injury that is possible. Haslem is still playing, sort of. And at 45 lebron might still be able to score 15-20 a game.

lol wut

Lebron is no longer a top 5 player in the NBA and no one’s going to pay extra money just to see a father & son play together. The whole “Bronny” thing is a media creation and the average NBA fan doesn’t care about him at all unless he can actually ball like an All Star. Otherwise he’s just another Pete Rose Jr.

Kobes last season, even he was nowhere near his prime, all games were sold out and ticket prices were through the roof just to see kobe play before they cant.

And you add lebrons son in the mix, plus with social media, its a different money making machine.

Lebron is done.. Messing with your entire future just so he can play with his kid, is just stupid. Its about the title and building for that future title. Not fullfilling 40 year old LeEGO's dream of a father-son team

Lebron averaged 29 points 8 reb and 6 assists per game and led the Lakers from the play in to the WFC last year. He is far from done. Only one player who beat Lebron in points, rebounds and assists last year and that was Luka.

If bronny dont continue his basketball career, lebron might get up to 40k points this year and retire. He already has the money, and the more he plays the more aches and pain will come as he get older.

Good.

People can finally wake up and take the absurd pressure off him to be or come close to his dad.

MJ's kids couldn't be him, and neither will LeBron's kids be him. Neither were shaqs kids. Neither were (insert star athlete here). Now if people want Bronny to risk his life trying to go to compete in the NBA, then they'll have some blood on their hands if he has another cardiac arrest on the court.

It's not the end of the world when a star athlete has kids who don't also become a star athlete. Having a father who is a BILLIONAIRE is a nice consolation price.
