That would have been an interesting choice. I think Udoka would have gotten more out of them. Keep the interim tag on whoever is coaching now then bring in Udoka in the offseason like you suggested. Let Udoka evaluate the roster and take it from there. IMO, this season is a wash. They aren't going anywhere. The play-in and maybe a first round exit. Snyder is a re-tread. He's not the one to take them to the next level. Again, Udoka may not have been interested.

Its an interesting team. If I was Udoka you go there 3 seasons turn the team into a winner and turn your whole image around. But that is not going to be the way it goes.

I think he either has to
1) Sit out another season or two to let the stench from what he did die down some more, OR
2) Go down to a lower level than the NBA...maybe college and win there for a while before coming back.

I would be shocked if any team took a chance on him next season...it's all just too fresh and would generate enormous bad publicity that no team would want to risk for someone who hasnt won a ring as a coach so he doesnt even have that to argue his case for him.

Perhaps so. All I have heard is he is suspended a year and NBA has seemed to accept that. I figured if a team hired him for next season that would be acceptable to the NBA. Maybe there would be lots of outrage, who knows. Not sure exactly what he did. I have heard this and that.

I know with Bridges on the Hornets, he technically can sign as a free agent with anyone now but the NBA intends to block it if a team tries to sign him. Clearly what Bridges did was much much worse. Quite possible he never plays in the NBA again.
