I am relocating and trying to figure out some upper scale areas and some not so nice areas? I've heard that public schools aren't great, but what are some good public schools? I've heard about Parkview Baptist, is it any good?

Why do you need to know about the bad neighborhoods? What do you consider upper class areas? I'm guessing you want a suburban area, do you want to live in the parish, city, or one of the suburban parishes? Parkview Baptist is private.

Let me rephrase this, "What neighborhoods are more crime ridden?" Yes, I realize that crime is everywhere, however, it is more prevelant in some areas. I want to live in EBR

Most neighborhoods north of Florida stay away from. What is your price range? I need more information than just upscale. Subdivision, golf course, land, etc.

I've been looking at houses in the Woodridge subdivision? Is that north of Florida? Also, what about Boulevard de Province or Valley Park?

Woodridge off of Pecue Ln? Boulevard de Province and Valley Park are the ghetto pretty much. Surely aren't upscale or anywhere near the median income of Woodridge.

Oh wow, thanks! I'm working at LSU, and I know there will be a bit of a commute from Woodridge, however, are there areas akin to Woodridge near LSU?

There are a plethora of subdivisions and neighborhoods anchored around Highland Rd and Nicholson. There are great older neighborhoods directly to the east and northeast of campus but I'm guessing you want a newer style home.

I've heard great things about Southdowns, do you have any information on that?

I love Southdowns, the city is currently repaving many of the roads. It's an older neighborhood with a mix of different home styles. If you like older neighborhoods you can look at the Garden District, Beaureguard Town, Spanish Towne, Mid-City (south of Florida) and Mid-City south.
