Yup, smelled like a campfire inside. I'm guessing it's from the fire in Warm Springs, which usually burns every year. This time though, it's threatening quite a few structures, including the resort. Warm Springs Fire Closes Kah Nee Ta Resort » News » OPB

We arrive in a couple hours. campfire smell will be okay just hope our 8 days in Bend arent too smokey. Ironic that we will be missing some of the "nicer" weather of the summer back in VA.

You live in Bend!? I never would have guessed!

The smell of smoke was extremely faint this morning in my house. Didnt smell it again once through the day. Saw the cloud of smoke just over the east side as the day continued.

Gave an amazing sunset/the moon looks special.

We are here and I haven't noticed any smoke smell, sky is colorful with the blend of distant smoke and clouds.

Happy to be back in Bend it is such a contrast to VA!

Snownut and Delta--

you both mentioned visiting Waldo Lake on this visit/sometime soon. Waldo Lake is spectacular--and if you value your blood, wait until mid-September or later to visit. It's known for supporting feeding-frenzied, rabid mosquitoes...

Enjoy your visit, Snownut!

Waldo Lake is on my list for a future visit (or when I live here)

We are have a boat rented for East Lake tomorrow. Any thoughts on mosquitoes there?
