5 Points isn't slowing down no time soon I see..

These 4 plus like 6-7 other new spots that has open recently plus the two 17 story residential towers (one building out now, the other next year)

New renderings of BJCC stadium in downtown Birmingham

https://www.wvtm13.com/article/new-r...ngham/25575232

This looks like it is on the way to happening and hopefully we see some earth moving soon. I was hoping for an overhang or canopy to cover the spectator area for the summer months and on rainy days and who knows that might get added eventually similar to what happened with Sun Life in Miami. Despite that I am excited to see this project get off the ground, I honestly think most people in the area have no idea how big of a win for the city/metro this is yet, and they won't see it until the added events, bigger events bigger games and more televised games start rolling in. This stadium puts B'ham back in the game as a major neutral site for power 5 college football and major soccer events.

The image in that story is so tiny, it's hard to see detail.

pretty underwhelmed if these are actually the final renderings...

hopefully this was just to get something up for the groundbreaking.

there's no character.

Looks great! Maybe they'll add an additional 10,000-15,000 seats. Regardless, this will create thousands of additional jobs within the first 10-20 years.

Same thing said of Region Field with the renderings that was put out there before it was built. Turn out to be a nice park...Photos don't come close to what the actual facility will look like. For 174M and if indeed it's the same design team as before, their work is incredible. Just look at their resume...The renderings put out for legacy arena looks bland to me, but it probably be a whole lot different in person than pics...

Yeah, it's not an aesthetically pleasing rendering, but it's much more important the inside of the stadium caters to what people need in 2020-2040.

Pro sports venues are playing catch up with technology, so it's imperative that this facility is on the cutting edge when it opens. 5G service, rideshare pickup points, places to juice up phones and tablets, a place to wager on sports (well...) etc. etc.
