Has anyone heard about this project? I hear is it is going out off of simco rd. There has been many false hopes and attempts to bring a better race track to idaho but all have failed so far. I was told that the land was purchased but the zoning was still an issue.

We get the same hopes and dreams here of new race tracks, but then someone complains about the noise, traffic, etc. and it gets shut down, before it even gets started

Default Nascar in Boise

I have heard the land was puchased off of Simco rd. I know several people who own land on Simco rd. and they say it is a go. There were however some hoops to jump through with P&Z and such.

I'd like to see another good race track project come to Idaho. Unfortunately, Idahoans in general have such extreme apathy towards racing that I doubt we'll ever see it happen. It's not the climate since there are many successful northern racetracks. Just not in Idaho.

The county P&Z would not give them a conditional land use permit until there was a traffic study completed. That is the hold up now. I am sure that there will be another hoop for them to jump through if they get that taken care of.
