Same as blaming Baker for road accidents by the Globe. This is not her fault, especially considering she just became mayor.

This is so true. Cameras don't work as a deterrent for criminals that are just too stupid.

Councilor Arroyo is running for DA. Anyone have a gauge on his popularity/chances?

I see people complaining about him all the time on the HP Facebook page. Anytime something goes wrong they seem to blame him and say he does nothing lol.

Ricardo won’t win. I’d rather Kevin Hayden run again and win.

I’m disappointed Ricardo is not more dedicated to his council seat smh. He was all about “representing a diverse district” and “change” but is ready to bolt after like 2 years….but what can you expect from an Arroyo.

That's the problem with politicians...they say things they don't mean to win.

I'd prefer Hayden as well.

Yea I don't think we need someone to vocally carry Rollins' mantle. Lots of crimes arent typically prosecuted I'm sure Hayden isnt trying to shake things up like that. I think, ideally, DA is pretty apolitical. I support the progressive measures but if we could tamp down on the rancorous voices and where they're coming from a bit maybe we get some more "focus" in the city which it feels like is lacking. A guy like Arroyo is good on City Council where he's meant to be political.

I remember there being occasional major crime incidents around the orange line station in the past. However it looks like there haven't been any in the past year or two? Ruggles station, Forest Hills, sometimes Jackson Square I remember having shootings/stabbings a couple per year around 2010-2015 sometimes fatal. it seems like they have been cleaned up. Maybe the problems just shifted to other lines/stations

not to mention fires, crashes and a slew of other odd indicents:
