That's what happens when hospitals are forced to patch up uninsured gangbangers and deal with thousands of uninsured illegals.

The deep irony of this statement is perfect.

hospital bailout on the way. MGH is not alone. Loan forgiveness and a tax increase would seem to be in order.

Amigo, I know you want us to be like Denmark, how do you feel about 90% or so tax rate to pay for all the Denmark goodies? You see, unlike Denmark with its ~70% tax rate we have a huge underclass on the dole and tens of millions of illegals we ‘re trying to turn into future voters at a cool $100k/year a pop based on NYC’s $3B for ~30,000 illegals figure.

Before we veer off into a politically charged verbal shootout with this thread, please read the article before you comment. Someone care to explain how all of the reasons given in the article such as increased employee wages and benefits, reduced capacity, and staffing shortages are all lies. I am no defender of illegal immigration but that is not the cause of the profit loss. It's another case of everyone wanting a bigger piece of the pie and competing for it. Someone will have to take the loss in order for others to gain. That's been happening since this nation was founded.

CVS just announced they would be restricting childrens cold medicines due to increased covid, flu, colds, and rsv. I assume so that the supply doesnt disappear.
