Again, trying to look like she knows the struggle. She wasn't in Boston at the time, yet she thinks her apology is heartfelt? Pandering because she knows she lost a lot of People-WIth-No-Color votes.

FUWU.

And true "reverse" discrimination? As a POC, I have yet to see that in action anywhere in my corporate career. I've always felt like I had to work harder than a White counterpart just to get a voice at the table.
Ever take a civil service test?

That’s a really good reason for not even feeling safe around any white people at this time. You don’t know who is trustworthy with the leaking emails and mental health rumors spread about her.

This really Buffalo behavior doesn’t happened with other groups. That’s the commonality.
Wow.
Should we ask Haitians to leave hotels all over Massachusetts? They are in many predominantly white neighborhoods and kids are in school.

This is a good example of why racial stuff should not be used as a class war.
Black people live in numerous predominantly white neighborhoods around Boston. Not many? Many white people also cannot live there. And not because of their race. How is this different?

Race or color should literally have nothing to do with admission ... although for some races special adjustments were made.

I could never hurt someone by excluding them from a celebration. I can't even imagine having a party and having the gall to limit who is invited based on their race. I thought we were above that but now it seems there is a major problem with reverse discrimination in this country. It seems to be okay with some of the posters here. Is that where we are in our society now? Did the black race forget that we fought and died in a civil war for their freedom? If that's the case, why don't we just cut each state in half, blacks live on one half and the whites live on the other? Or maybe we should separate it by Party affiliation.

Reading this thread makes the reality of this countries downfall inevitable.
My comment related to IIRC phrase "they are all trash anyways".
Are they all trash?

I am sure there are more eloquent ways to express disappointment. We all are disappointed, but we should not step on that level.

How have you determined this except for your feelings?

I am an immigrant with an accent and a woman in Tech world. I could have thought it was hard for me sometimes because I was a minority... I never thought this way. All situations are unique, so many factors are involved. Why pick race, color, gender and such? Until I have 100% proof something happened because of my race, gender, ethnicity etc ... I cannot use it.

Oh...My mom is 70+ and a principal engineer in major company... They have not used age against her ... and other mentioned above factor (although she is not in tech, but in other major industry).

Not sure you understood my comment. I'm saying I've never seen, nor heard from White colleagues, about "reverse" discrimination in my career, i.e. where Whites were overtly excluded or discriminated against. And conversely, I haven't felt discriminated against because of my color. Claims of "reverse" discrimination IMO are a crutch for Whites who are insecure with the changing demographics around them.

I don't know what "color" you are but, if you've been working while AA was still in effect, you could very well unknowingly benefitted from it. Before you say "no way", know that' I'm speaking from experience.
