Follow the link given in post #7 and spend an hour or so on the site.
Directing someone to look at a website isn't citing a source. What link is it on? Do you have any references from an unbiased website? All I see are a handful of opinionated claims.

Don't know what country you're in but those are allowed here.

Darned if you do, darned if you do not. Many posters demand a link in order to confirm a point with a reference. If you do not or cannot you are accused of stating a biased personal opinion. Then when you do, the reference is attacked and criticised. Just cannot please some people, can you?

Anyone can author a website. That doesn't make it a valid source. I'm very familiar with the website. I used to read the forums. That website is full of statements, with the source of those statements being the participants of the website. Just about all of the history, events, and legislation discussed on the website apply to the entire state, not just the far end of Northern California. I see a whole lot of people participating on the website who seem to think they should be free to do whatever they please without regard to how it impacts others. Do you think miners have the right to hydraulic mining even though it it buries land downstream anywhere from 8 ft to 80 ft (yes, 80 feet) deep and floods out farmers and towns in the Sacramento Valley? Or, allowing other mines to leach acid and other minerals into the streams which eventually pollute the Sacramento River. I don't think many people would make the trip into Northern California for the various outdoor activities if the streams were full of toxic sediment.

More like one of the best demonstrations of the whiny "we own the water" mindsets I've ever seen. No, you don't.

There is a decent black enclave in the area around Shasta. Just FYI.
