But look at the big picture. Its almost fall (such as it is in ca unless you live in the mountains). Maybe if you shave off your beard you will fill cooler. I had a full beard for years & if my job allowed beards i would grow it back in a heartbeat. I absolutely hate shaving. Anyway..its now dark & 7:45 pm. Cool!

Well that was a nice cool-down over the weekend, only high eighties to mid-nineties. The past three days have been back to the usual, 102, 105, 104.

The weather.com forecast went from high 80's to the mid 90's over the weekend. I hate when that happens. Mid 90's will probably feel downright balmy at this point...

Yup low 90's for the next seven days at least. The lows are in the upper 50's so staying cool is easy.

Clouds moving over head this morning from tropical storm John.

After a very hot and blessedly not humid long weekend, we're back to the tropical BS.

Major heads up.

=============================

DISCUSSION...AS OF 9:15 AM PDT WEDNESDAY...FOR THE FIRST TIME IN QUITE SOME TIME...RADAR HAS BEEN ACTIVE DURING THE MORNING DUE TO MID/UPPER-LEVEL MOISTURE MOVING ACROSS OUR AREA FROM THE SOUTH. AS EXPECTED...THIS MOISTURE FROM A PREVIOUS TROPICAL DISTURBANCE HAS HELPED TO TRIGGER POCKETS OF LIGHT SHOWERS ALONG WITH SOME LIGHTNING AND THUNDER. LIGHTNING DATA SHOWS OVER 25 CLOUD TO GROUND STRIKES TO THIS POINT FOR OUR ENTIRE AOR. AS THE DAY PROGRESSES THE MAIN FOCUS FOR STORMS SHOULD SLOWLY SHIFT MORE TO THE NORTH AND FOCUS AROUND THE SF BAY REGION BY MID-AFTERNOON INTO THE EVENING HOURS ESPECIALLY WITH THE JET MAX MOVING INTO THE NORTHERN HALF OF THE CWA LATER TODAY. CONVECTIVE ACTIVITY WILL CONTINUE THROUGH TONIGHT.

=======================================

Red flag up over about 1/2 of the state. We are going to get it.

Firecopolyps 2012.
