You have a lot more disposable income then I do then. I look at it as 20 grand I can spend on something else cause after one year the resale and look will be the same if it's all ripped up.

I simply don't follow the OC soccer mom school of owning a 4WD. If I had one, I'd use the **** out of it.
The most realistic attitude I ever saw towards a new truck was my friend Jim when he bought a brand new 1978 Dodge 4x4 pickup for work. As soon as he got it home he loaded a bunch of 8x8x16 concrete blocks in the bed and proceeded to take to the trails with sharp corners at high speed. He said it was going to end up looking like that eventually, so he might as well get it out of the way.

Now they have bed liners.

That's a work truck though. I expect work trucks to look worn, like a well-used hammer or drill. I'll bet he also had a car in the family that he kept looking nice.

I also expect off road vehicles to go off road, which was my original point before I launched into that tale. I've never worried about scratches and dents. It's only a machine. My truck gets squirted off about once every two months whether it needs it or not.

fixed. Being from a state that consistently sends the same meandering idiot to the senate again and again I can honestly say California is not alone in nursing the dumb.

Seriously, the senator in question hasn't really done anything remarkable since he kicked the mob in the butt on its way out back when disco was still big.
