The War on Poverty has been a complete waste, it only makes it worse.
It isn't a war ON poverty, it is a war on producers and the end result is poverty.

Political Socialism always leads to this.

Poverty rates are lower than in 1959 but slightly higher than in the early 70's. The difference is people used to work 2-3 jobs instead of being supported by the government while we import another country's poor to do those jobs.

Sure. 14 million people can't find one job today. So it stands to reason that the poor could solve their problems by taking 2 and 3 jobs. Simple math. I just didn't think to add and subtract. Problem solved. Thanks. I guess this is why I'm fat and drive a bus and don't perform neurosurgery.

Absolutely. History is clear. Back in the good old days before political socialism there was no poverty. Just happy cows milked by happy, well paid people. I miss it.

Wait until the job creators start leaving in even greater numbers. 13% taxation and stupid carbon taxes will cause lots of business owners to pack up and head for Austin.

Austin is practically overflow parking for California. It is a fantastic city to live and do business in, but unfortunately it has become inundated with Californian's over the years and much of the original charm is fading.

Sure makes sense to blame illegals for the stupidities and evasions of law by Americans doesn't it?
