Good info Chimérique. I don't know where anyone got the idea that Sacramento wasn't sunny. Sure, it gets a little hot in the summer sometimes but, overall, it's very nice. This winter, the sun seems to be shining everywhere in the state. No rain. That's bad.

No, I never get tired of the weather here. Considering that most of the U.S. is under a deep freeze, and the only hospitable areas are in coastal California or in Florida, I'm thrilled to live where I do! If I moved elsewhere, I'd probably be back within two or three years, as I'm sure I'd get tired of being stuck indoors for part of the year.

Having said that, we need a good rainy season here in Southern California! Everything is brown and parched.

Number of Clear Days**
1. Phoenix, Arizona - 211
2. Las Vegas, Nevada - 210
3. Sacramento, California - 188
4. San Francisco, CA - 160
5. Los Angeles, California - 147
6. San Diego, California - 146
7. Oklahoma City, Oklahoma - 139
8. Salt Lake City, UT - 125
9. Denver, Colorado - 115 - Why do colorandans say they have 300 days of sunshine, what a load of crap!
10.Tampa, Florida - 101
11. Miami, Florida - 74

**Clear days - is the number days a year when clouds cover less than one-third of the sky on average.

(These stats are for major metro areas of at least 1.2 million people).
(These stats have nothing to do with the current drought California is experiencing, these are 30 year averages)

Irony is getting ready to fly to Florida and Puerto Rico to escape SF's typical dreary January weather, and realizing the weather is going to be much, much worse than what's going on right now.
