I have always wanted to move to California since the early 90's. Well, I am wondering if I can afford an 2 bedroom apartment in a nice quiet neighborhood. Prefer a 55+ community. Coming from Florida, its overcrowded here and I know it is there too. I like warmer climates. I don't know where else to go. Any suggestions or advice.

Entry level wages? That would be a tough go.

Everyone who works at Disneyland commutes from Arizona? My guess is they must pay a living wage.

A single person making entry-level wages ($15/hour, 40 hours/week) at Disneyland could not afford a two-bedroom apartment in the area--at least not in a "nice, quiet" neighborhood (however you define that). You'd be paying maybe $1700 out of a $2100/mo salary for rent.

If you love warmer climates maybe try Az or Vegas. Or maybe try different areas of Ca. My husband has a possible job transfer to central Ca, Fresno area, and my niece currently lives in Bakersfield and it seems to be more affordable there but you wouldn't be working at Disneyland because the commute wouldn't be short.

So it would Appear from your math no one could afford to work in Disneyland and the place would fold. Yet that is not the case. Why is it not the case?

Infinite number of scenarios. They could be retired and receiving additional income. Could have more than one job. Multiple income earners in one house hold. Very cheap housing in dumpy areas, Anaheim has plenty to offer.

Also the place wouldn't fold, Disney is very successful. The pay would increase until it reached equilibrium.

Why be pedantic about it.

Have you ever been there? Most workers are either very young or much older. Roommates or a second income just like any other min wage job. Right now they pay min wage but set to pay 15 by 2021.

I worked at Disneyland as a teenager (and you don't even want to know what the minimum wage was back then). I worked in Fantasyland, with older people who had been Disneyland employees for years and who were performing the same job I did. However, they received hourly wage increases frequently. We all had to be part of a labor union, even if we were only summer--aka "seasonal"-- employees. These older employees made six and seven times what I made.
