Prop 13 is going down. I don't know why people keep thinking this tax protection will stand in a state run by tax happy democrats. Split Roll is the first step.

But Gavin is already on the propaganda trail for Health Care for All:

https://www.fresnobee.com/news/state...H8B6rw5BBbE6nE

He's going to sell it to low income voters, illegals (who will be covered under the plan), and leftist in general in the state and it will pass with flying colors. But where will he get the money to actually fund it? Everything else has been taxed to the brim, EXCEPT property taxes.

Prop 13 is not long for this world.

I'm glad you're so confident that it will stand.

I mean, what do you stand to lose if you're wrong? Nothing much, just a crap ton of money.

CA is already #11 in tax take.

do you trust them to lessen income tax, sales tax and increase prop tax thru fine tuning?

What tax rate? property, income, sales tax? That's a dandy number to throw out but some clarification and a source would be helpful

LOL anyone with any sense at all would scoff at anyone claiming to know what the people in Texas think about Houston. And would also scoff at your claim that most of these people live are suburbanites.

I can assure you that there are plenty of people who moved to Houston who think it's a great city.

I wonder what possesses people like you to make ridiculous claims that are not supported by any data?

Exactly, when you have anyone claiming to know what everyone in Texas thinks you know you're not dealing with a logical rational thinker.

Really?

What happens if you get tossed on the split roll?

In NV those would all be going up 8% per year until they got to the listed tax rate.

I think the chart is extremely misleading when you consider that the amount of salary earned in Texas being so low is why it’s so easy for smaller taxes to comprise a higher % for Texans.

And real disposable income is (net pay minus rent/mortgage) and on that basis, tax % for California is off the charts compared to Texas. When you exclude that rent/mortgage eats up way less of a Texas resident than a California resident, your denominator in tax % is comparing apples to oranges.
